Artwork is graded by a rubric, a common assessment tool that allows objective, informative evaluation of your project within specific criteria.
Art is evaluated by craftsmanship (how carefully and nicely the actual work is completed, on a scale of 1-4), effort and initiative (how much imagination, research, information, and preparation has gone into the idea and completion of the project), creativity (how the project reflects the personality, viewpoint, and ideas of the unique individual who creates it) and following the specific directions for the project, including proper and safe use of the tools and materials.
